Land Rover is one of those brands you choose when you want to treat yourself. Some models remain relatively affordable, but what I’m proposing today is to see just how far you can go with the British automaker when there is no budget limit.
I don’t know about you, but I would love to be able to buy a vehicle and check every box on the options list. So, let’s see just how much you can spend at Land Rover.
The Most Expensive Model
As you probably know, Land Rover’s lineup is now divided into several distinct families. There is Defender for models with enhanced off-road capabilities, Discovery for family adventures and exploration, and Range Rover for urban luxury. As you might have guessed, it’s within this third family that you’ll find the most expensive model in the Land Rover lineup: the Range Rover SV.
Starting at $150,472
The Land Rover Range Rover carries a starting price of $150,472, which, in itself, isn’t ridiculously expensive for a vehicle of this calibre. However, that’s only the entry point for the model. The SV Black version, on the other hand, starts at $300,256, nearly twice as much. You might think that a vehicle costing this much would come fully loaded, but that’s not the case. In fact, several à-la-carte options can be added, pushing the price beyond $324,000.
As its name suggests, this version features a dark, sinister finish that makes the vehicle look even more imposing. As if that weren’t enough, the Land Rover Range Rover SV Black is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 607 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. Needless to say, that’s ridiculously quick for a vehicle of this size.
